Beach Songs Are Coming

The weather is finally beginning to warm up and it's sunny all the time, which can only mean one thing. Songs about beaches, the sun, and day drinking are coming! Southern Halo's latest single "Sunshine" is one of these songs, and it deserves to be on everyone's summer playlist. If you've heard Southern Halo before then you know they know how to put a bop together. Between their heavenly voices and the fun melody, you'll be hooked into the song immediately and then be singing along by the time you play it again. There's a lot of controversy about whether Lil Nas X's song "Old Town Road" is country or not, but Billy Ray Cyrus doesn't see why. After the original song was taken down from Billboard's Country Chart, the Achey Breaky Artist jumped in for the remix that could only be improved by the return of his mullet. The remix, which is still considered Country by Billboard, has been #1 on the charts for the past couple of days, and you only have to give it a listen to understand why. As you all know, the Academy of Country Music held their awards ceremony over the weekend, and it was a big one! Reba kicked off the night for her 16th time hosting the awards and used her opening monologue to point out the lack of female representation in the award nominations, especially the "Entertainer of the Year" award.
