Chase Rice: From Zero to Hero - A Glimpse into His Rise to Fame

In just a few months, Chase Rice has gone from a relatively obscure artist to a big name star. Since his August 19 debut release Ignite the Night, he’s already on top of the Billboard country albums chart.

Ignite the Night has already sold more than 43,000 copies, putting him in the No. 3 spot on the all-genre Billboard 200.

So what’s the reason for the massive explosion in popularity? Rice says he owes it to single “Ready Set Roll.”

“It’s unbelievable,” said Rice to CMT Hot 20 Countdown. “I mean, it’s crazy how even the last six months – even the last month – have changed because of ‘Ready Set Roll.’ People are finally paying attention.”

He also attributes his success to touring, which he says allowed him to build his fan base from the very bottom.

With this is mind, Rice is embarking on the Ignite the Night Tour starting September 5 in Denver, CO. The tour will stop at more than 30 cities across the U.S.
