Austin Burke's Single "Sleepin' Around" is HOT

This latest single from Austin Burke is definitely NOT what you're expecting from the title. "Uptown, downtown, everybody's sleeping around", Burke laments in the chorus of "Sleepin' Around". This song is something that really stands out in the music scene today where everyone is singing about partying and trying to get lucky. Burke on the other hand seems to be an old soul, and sees this behavior as something he doesn't need to be a part of; instead, he "wants a girl worth waking up to".

As an older brother to two sisters, Austin seems to know what it means to be a protective male role model as well as a gentleman. He sees the faults in the ways that both parties act and rather then just a hot and wild night with a random stranger, Burke wants something real. "The good girls wanna be bad and the bad girls wanna be better, and the boys just wanna get lucky tonight". It is very refreshing to hear someone come onto the music scene with this different perspective on romance and one night stands.

Burke grew up in Phoenix, Arizona, singing as soon as he could walk. When he was only 3 years old, he sang the National Anthem for both the Phoenix Suns and the Arizona Diamondbacks. Yes, that's right. THREE YEARS OLD. What professional sports stadiums were you singing in at that age? He met his hero, Garth Brooks, at a Padres spring training game, and subsequently won the spot of singing "Friends in Low Places" on the Rosie O'Donnel show TWICE. When Rosie asked what he wanted to be when he grew up, he said "a singing baseball player". Injured ribs placing him on the bench, and the realization that country music was what made him the happiest led him to move to Nashville in pursuit of a career in country music!

Austin's single, "Sleepin' Around" has been wildly successful in launching his career. In the few months it's been available on Spotify, it has already been streamed over 1.6 million times! Austin is releasing his self-titled, debut EP on May 19 (and you can bet your bottom dollar that we'll be giving it a lot of listens and a review when it arrives)!
