The Grass is Always Greener...

You've all heard the old adage, "the grass is always greener on the other side," which is true but usually because it's fertilized with bu!!$hit. Jake Owen teamed up with Kid Rock to tackle this Dilemma, the result is a fun tune about being happy regardless.

"We're always gonna want a little more than we got... The grass is always greener in someone else's joint" Jake and Kid Rock take an issue that everyone in the world has struggled with and they not only teach a lesson, but they make it enjoyable (Also, if their "grass" is greener, you might want to find out where they are getting it). Jake starts off the song describing his neighbor's fortune compared to his: new car, in-ground pool, new John Deere lawnmower, etc., but he caps this off by saying his stuff gets the job done, which is all you need. Kid Rock really drives the message home by telling everyone to stop chasing things you ain't got and instead focus on what you do.

Everyone has felt that they deserve greener grass, but we don't always get it. Regardless, we can all be just as happy, and this song is definitely a step in that direction.
