Caitie Andreen Keeps it Real with new EP- "These Days"

Caitie Andreen has been writing since she was 12 years old, but for awhile it was something that she kept to herself for the most part. It took her until she was in her 20’s to decide her songs were something worth sharing, but in 2016 she moved to Nashville to try to turn her passion into a career.

Since then, Caitie has released a single in 2017 entitled “Cheating on You” and another in early 2018 called “Shade of Blonde.” Now, as she wraps up her third year in the Music City, she prepares to release her first EP tomorrow, called “These Days.” Despite her initial difficulty in opening up with her music, with this new EP, Caitie Andreen manages to achieve a level of musical authenticity that many in the country industry covet.

In the 6 song EP, Andreen toes the line between thematically clever and plain-and-simple lyricism. From the dark tone dominated “Wait Out the Thunder” about the complex and specific emotion of loving and leaving, to the more major chord oriented title track “These Days” that boils down to simply “hey I’m struggling right now,” Caitie highlights the way real people feel in real life. Her understandable, relatable lyrics are tastefully accompanied by instrumentation that can only be described as honest. To round it all out, Caitie offers a sweet, off-the-voice singing style that she does not shy away from in the production. These days Nashville needs a little honesty in their productions, and Caitie Andreen came through for us with “These Days.”
