Demi Michelle releases ‘Across the Pond’ as a heartfelt thank you to the UK

“Thanks to my special family across the pond, I have been forever changed and finally feel like I belong in the music industry.”

Demi Michelle is an artist and singer-songwriter from Pennsylvania, USA whose creativity and love for both pop and country music drive her passion for writing songs that turn life experiences into songs that touch the hearts of her listeners through captivating storytelling and soul-filled melodies. Taking songwriting influence from the likes of Julia Michaels, Kelsea Ballerini, and Taylor Swift, Demi strives to keep authenticity and honesty at the core of her lyric writing during collaborations, as well as songwriting for her own releases. Since bridging into country music, Demi has focussed on bringing a contemporary, pop-country sound to her music, and this next track is a full of powerful instrumentation, with electric guitar riffs that give it a lively, yet graceful, country flavor.

Across the Pond” is Demi’s thank you letter to the UK for all their love and support. “If I sat down with a pen and paper, the lyrics of this song are what I’d write before slipping the letter into an envelope and sending it across the Atlantic.” The young songwriter has always spoken openly about the struggles of believing in herself when she started her songwriting journey. “I never dreamed that the UK would welcome me with open arms and wrap me in so much love”. The UK has offered Demi a lot of firsts: her first reviews, radio play, live streams, and charting success! Since she is currently unable to thank the UK in person, she did what she knew best, and wrote her thoughts and feelings in a song, as a gift.

“If one day I’m known, all over the world, I promise I won’t forget you took a chance on me first.”
