Ella Langley’s breakout single, “Choosin’ Texas,” has officially spent twelve consecutive weeks as the No. 1 song on the Billboard Hot 100.
With this milestone, she joins some of history's greatest musicians as one of twenty-six total artists and one of only five female artists to have a song stay in the top spot of the Billboard Hot 100 for twelve consecutive weeks.
This achievement is just another highlight in what has already been a successful year for the country star. Just one week earlier, "Choosin' Texas" became the longest-running No. 1 Hot 100 hit by a female country artist, surpassing Debby Boone's 1977 classic "You Light Up My Life." Now, with a twelfth week at the summit, Langley has climbed even higher in the Billboard record books.
Langley's breakthrough year includes much more than one hit track. “Choosin’ Texas” was released as the lead single from her album Dandelion, which reached the No. 1 position on the Billboard 200. Since then, several other songs from that album have been placed on the Billboard Hot 100. Combined with her award-winning streak earlier this year, "Choosin' Texas" has solidified Ella Langley as one of the most prominent stars in country music.
As of now, "Choosin' Texas" continues to add to its historic chart run. Even if the song falls off soon, its place in Billboard history is secure, and Ella Langley has firmly established herself as one of country music's defining artists of 2026.
