Morgan Riley: From South Carolina Girl to Country Music Star

Greenville native Morgan Riley started out as just another girl with a dream, but now her dreams are coming to fruition with the upcoming release of her new album “Collage” on June 1.

Her single “Rowdy Shoutin’ Cowboys,” along with the accompanying music video, will also be released on June 1.

Since coming to South Carolina to hone her sound and style, Riley has been making huge strides in country music.

Every little step has been bringing her one step closer to success, from her winning Pride of Carolinas and receiving single placement on a compilation album by Koch New York, to recording her first album, “Affinity.” These accomplishments led to her being discovered by veteran producer and engineer Frank Green, whose resume includes numerous number one hits and gold and platinum albums.

After hearing Riley perform live, Green quickly signed her to his label, SkyTone Entertainment. Together, they began writing and recording material for “Collage.”

“We’re thrilled to bring on board such a talented vocalist and writer as Morgan Riley. There’s no doubt she’s going places, and we’re glad to be the ones to take her there,” said Green.

Through this collaboration, Riley has been able to truly come into her own as an artist, combining elements of various genres to create a country sound uniquely her own. Truly breaking the mold, her new single and video, “Rowdy Shoutin’ Cowboys,” goes where no other female country artist has gone before with the inclusion of the first-ever rap in a female country artist song/video.

“I’m really blessed to be where I’m at in life. I have no doubt given the team I’ve surrounded myself with that this release has the potential for great success. I feel like “Collage” is me – the first project I’ve done that truly represents my voice. While all other genres play a part in this album, my dad always encouraged my country side. Now that I’ve found it, I can’t wait to share it with fans,” said Riley.

In promotion of “Collage,” Riley will be performing in Nashville, TN at the CMA Music Festival on June 5 and 6 on the Manuel American Designs stage. She’ll also be performing in Greenville on June 14 and other select dates throughout the summer at Corner Pocket. Be sure to visit www.morganrileycountry.com/tour to see her latest tour dates.

Despite all of her success, Riley continues to stay grounded in her Greenville roots and make her hometown proud. She truly is the pride of the Carolinas.
