CMT’s “Hot 20 Countdown” announces first-ever summer concert series


Series features live performances from Dierks Bentley, David Nail

“Hot 20 Countdown” isn’t just on your TV screens anymore.

Starting Saturday, the CMT hit series will be kicking off its first summer concert series with performances by Kip Moore, among others. It will be taped along the Cumberland River in Nashville, underneath the pedestrian bridge.

The concerts will also feature performances by David Nail on July 26 and Chris Young on Aug. 9. Dierks Bentley will close the series on Sept. 6 at the NASCAR race held at Bristol Motor Speedway.

The concerts are set to include performance of Moore’s “Dirt Road,” Nail’s “Kiss You Tonight” and Young’s “Who I Am With You.” It is sponsored by Mountain Dew.

“Hot 20 Countdown” is a popular CMT series known for its combination of interviews, news and videos. It is filmed in front of a live audience in Nashville and hosted by Cody Alan, Alecia Davis and Katie Cook.

Following the summer concert series, this fall CMT will be hosting its annual CMT On Tour event. Kip Moore will be headlining CMT On Tour in addition to his performance at the “Hot 20 Countdown” summer concert series.
