Trisha Yearwood Releases New Album "PrizeFighter"
A month after Yearwood’s husband, Garth Brooks, announced his coming out of retirement, Yearwood announced "PrizeFighter" - her first album since 2007.
Brooks and Yearwood will debut their new music on Brooks’ comeback tour this fall. Along with the tour, Yearwood stays busy with her fifth season of her cooking show Trisha’s Southern Kitchen, raising her three girls, launching her new cooking line and finishing her album.
Since 2007, she has sold 12 million albums despite not releasing any new music. Her last release, Grammy-nominated “Heaven, Heartache and the Power of Love” is no doubt responsible for much of those sales.
With this new album, she hopes to empower young women with her music.
"I love those songs that make girls put their hands in the air and say, 'Yeah, I can do that,'" she said. "Hopefully this song ('PrizeFighter') will do that." Yearwood told ABC News.
The tour will start Sept 4.; The “PrizeFighter” release date has yet to be announced.
