CRAIG MORGAN ANNOUNCES SECOND ANNUAL BILLY’S PLACE 5K

Nashville, TN -- (February 17, 2015) – Craig Morgan is challenging his fans, friends and neighbors as he prepares to host the second annual Billy’s Place 5k on Sunday, April 12 at 1pm from Montgomery Bell State Park in Dickson, Tennessee. The 5K road race will benefit the Dickson County Craig Morgan Foundation, supporting foster children in Dickson County and throughout Middle Tennessee. ABOUT CRAIG MORGAN: One of country music’s best-loved artists, Craig Morgan has made a name for himself with massive radio airplay of his signature hits: “Bonfire,” “Almost Home,” “Redneck Yacht Club,” “That’s What I Love About Sunday,” “International Harvester” and "This Ole Boy.” His most recently released album The Journey (Livin’ Hits) on Black River Entertainment, features the singles "Wake Up Lovin’ You" and “We’ll Come Back Around.” Craig received one of country music’s highest honors when he was inducted as a member of the Grand Ole Opry in 2008. ABOUT THE DICKSON COUNTY CRAIG MORGAN FOUNDATION: The idea for The Dickson County Craig Morgan Foundation was born while Craig Morgan was serving as an Assistant Sheriff's Deputy in Dickson, TN. The organization, a component fund of the 501c3 Craig Morgan Dickson County Educational Foundation, will support foster children in Dickson County and throughout Middle Tennessee. Craig’s continuing charitable mission is to eventually build and maintain a home, Billy’s Place, in Dickson County Tennessee for temporarily displaced children in Tennessee’s 23rd District (5 counties) and to provide lasting funding for the home. His long-term goal is to start additional Billy's Place homes around the country.
