CMT’s "Artist of a Lifetime Award" Will Be Received By Shania Twain

It is safe to say that Shania Twain has made a mark in the world of music country music that will go down in history. Twain is one of the best-selling artists of all-time and has sold over 75 million records. On top of all that, Shania’s list of achievements is about to grow one step further. In a few weeks, Twain will be holding CMT’s “Artist of a Lifetime” Award. It’s already impressive that she is receiving this honorable award which has been in the hands of past recipients such as Merle Haggard, Kenny Rogers, and more. What is even more impressive is - Shania Twain will become the first female artist in HISTORY to hold this award in her hands.

The CMT Artists of the Year will make its premier on October 20, 2016 at 9:00pm.

This year’s show will include tributes and toasts for five of the top artists in country music – those who have been very prevalent on CMT this year. Luke Bryan, Carrie Underwood, Thomas Rhett Chris Stapleton and Florida Georgia Line will be receiving these well-deserved toasts. This show will also feature live performances by some of our favorite country icons.

Shania Twain is truly an icon and has made a tremendous impact on the music industry. It’s about time she gets a well-deserved award like this.
