GUESS WHO'S BACK?! Lady Antebellum Drops New Single, “You Look Good” [LISTEN]

Americas favorite country trio, Lady Antebellum, is officially BACK IN BUSINESS. After a solo-focused break that seemed to take an eternity, they just dropped a brand new single, “You Look Good.”

This song was written by Hillary Lindsey, Ryan Hurd, and Busbee. Busbee also was the producer for this feel-good song. This Is the first single off of their upcoming album, Heart Break, which is said to be released in June.

Lady Antebellum certainly takes a fresh approach to this song, using upbeat, funky instrumentation such as horns. In a press release, Dave Haywood explained, “We’ve always loved experimenting with different instruments and sounds in the studio, but we’ve never used horns before.” He also stated, “The energy they brought to this song is really fun and was validation for all three of us that it had to be our first single back.”

A catchy horn riff opens the song, and continues as the hook for the rest of the song-coming in at every chorus. The hook leads to Kelley’s opening line, “On a boat, on a beach / in the water, in the sand / In the back of a bar cold beer in your hand,” Hillary Scott charms in with her harmony layer and they both sing, “Breaking hearts, breaking necks / when we rollin’ down the street / heads turning all day when they see you with me,” Hillary then sings a few lines, and the chorus hits in with a big “HEY!”, which will certainly catch any listeners ear. After an undeniably sing-able and catchy chorus, the lyrical hook comes in, “Hold up, whole room gets to spinnin’ / From the second that you walk in it / Baby, you look good, all day all night …”

Lady A is PUMPED about this single release, and even MORE pumped for their You Look Good world tour, kicking off this summer. Kelley states, “There’s also something contagious about the chorus that will be perfect in our live shows this year…We knew after the time off that we wanted to get back out on the road in a big way. We couldn’t be more ready to get back out there with the fans and hopefully make a few new ones too.”

“You Look Good” will officially be hitting country radio on Monday, January 23.
