Morgan Wallen feat. FGL - “Up Down” Single Review
For those of y’all who don’t know about Morgan Wallen, you are missing out! The country newcomer grew up 3 hours out of Nashville. His bio reads, “Wallen moved to Nashville in July 2015, not sure what he would find, but convinced that he should at least give his dreams a legitimate shot. Less than a year later, he’d already been signed to Big Loud Records, recorded some initial tracks with producer Joey Moi (Florida Georgia Line, Jake Owen) and hit the road on his first radio promotion tour.” Needless to say, Morgan Wallen will be shooting to the top before we know it.
Wallen’s radio single, “The Way I Talk” reached top 30 country airplay in the United States, and was a great introduction of him as an artist. However, we think his brand new single, “Up Down” will score him a number one spot.
“Up Down” is a twangy, rowdy anthem full of swirling slide guitars, huge drums, and a hint of summer vibes. The premise behind the song is throwing worries aside and letting yourself loose. This song is sure to brighten anyone’s day. It is almost impossible to not bob your head to this. After a twangy and rocking verse with Wallen’s impeccable and unique vocals, Florida Georgia Line chimes in some harmonies for the chorus:
“We just holding it down here in BFE
Still rolling around with a burnt CD
Free Bird, five minutes deep
Head bobbing up, down, up, down, up, down
We got what we got, we don't need the rest
Can turn this parking lot into a party
With an ice chest, dancing, cold beer
Man, we live it up, down, up, down
We live it up down...here”
Go ahead, give this song a listen and get ready to be bobbing “Up Down”!
Morgan Wallen’s album will be released some time in 2018.
