ACM Awards Recap
As you all know, the Academy of Country Music held their awards ceremony over the weekend, and it was a big one! Reba kicked off the night for her 16th time hosting the awards and used her opening monologue to point out the lack of female representation in the award nominations, especially the "Entertainer of the Year" award. After saying her piece, Reba got the show going.
Since most of you watched the awards, let's just hit the highlights. Dan + Shay went home with three awards! That's right three separate awards for "Duo of the Year", "Single Record of the Year", and "Song of the Year"! Keith Urban had a huge night as he secured "Entertainer of the Year" for the first time! Jason Aldean was awarded the "Artist of the Decade" award (that can't be right, if he's been playing for a decade then that makes me way too old). Miranda Lambert threw some serious shade on Blake Shelton by changing her lyrics while performing to "I got the hell out of Oklahoma". One of the best moments was the This is Us actress, Chrissy Metz, making her live performance debut alongside huge stars like Carrie Underwood.
That's it for the Crankin' highlights, but keep scrolling for a full list of winners.
