"'Heart That's Gonna Break' takes me back to running around during my early touring day," says Ford. "It's a song about a cowboy and city girl, an age-old story. This is one of my favorite songs I've written and I feel like the track represents me as an artist – who I am and what I'm about."

Like spurs and horses, “Heart That’s Gonna Break” directs listeners to emotions by way of songwriting; and it is this storytelling that rivals the great heartbreak songs that country music was built on.
