Fans of Bruno Mars have been eagerly awaiting a new solo album by Mars ever since he released the massively popular, "24K Magic" back in 2016. He has released music since then, but they have been collabs like "Die With A Smile" with Lady Gaga or other singles like "APT." with ROSÉ. Back in 2021, he collabed with Anderson .Paak to form Silk Sonic and they went on to make a full album, "An Evening With Silk Sonic" which became an instant hit and won several awards including the Grammy for Record of the Year and Song of the Year. But when it came to his solo career, radio silence. Until recently.
Bruno Mars, who hasn't released a new album in almost 10 years announced on January 7th on his Instagram, that not only would he be releasing a single that has since come out called, "I Just Might". But he also announced his new album, "The Romantic" that will come out on February 27th, 2026! This set people into a frenzy and a lot of people are eagerly awaiting his new album. But until then, we can enjoy his newest single.
"I Just Might" sounds like something straight from Silk Sonic's "An Evening With Silk Sonic". It has all of the catchy hooks that you would expect to see from a Bruno Mars song and then some. The chorus is instantly catchy and even after the first listen it will get stuck in your head. In his teaser video, he dresses up like he is from the 70s and the set is also designed to have that 70s look. It transports you back to the era of disco, long hair, and polyester suits. But as any good Bruno Mars song is, it will make you want to dance all night long and never stop. His music video has already amassed a little over 20 million views on YouTube in, as of the writing of this article, 3 days time! In addition to this, when "I Just Might" released, it jumped to number 3 on the Global Spotify Chart with a little under 5 million streams.
This shows the sheer hype for the new album and everyone will be holding their breath in anticipation until February 27th rolls around.
