It's such a powerful thing to be able to listen to something and feel the haziness of a distant memory. There’s nothing there with this; it was released only a few days ago, but I think that adds to the concept.

Famed and beloved indie band American Football, have entertained fans ever since their landmark 1999 self-titled release and their mega hit, "Never Meant". Now, they are set to release their fourth studio album (not incuding the deluxe versions, the cover album, and a live album) called "American Football LP4". This will be the first time in seven years since their last full original album.

The Black Keys have been the definition of consistent and excellence for decades with consistent hits like, "Howlin' For You", "Lonely Boy", and a host of other indie classics. Their raw sound has captured audience from multiple generations of music lovers. But now, they are set to release their third album in three years.

Right off the bat you get a sense that this album represents a different aspect of the alternative pop space. The transition from 'The Garden Prelude' into 'I Could Get Used To This' showcasses the immense production power behind this LP including James Ford, Karma Kid, Barney Lister, Stuart Price, and Jon Shave to name a few.

In perhaps a half-contrast to the twangy pop featured in the original ‘Box for Buddy, Box for Star’, many of the tracks on the second (yes, second!) deluxe addition have a down-to-earth indie-twang direction captained by many of the most prominent figures in this sub-genre. You have beautiful renditions that completely flip the script to the original songs, but retain the original’s sense of self.

Further cementing himself as one of the greatest guitarists, Jack White’s latest features incredible runs and solos while maintaining a rather easy-listening blues-rock front. Fans can hope that the release of these two tracks signals a soon-to-come album release, but more to come on that.

What Ambiguous Desire ultimately lands on is a version of Arlo Parks that feels more present. Not necessarily louder or more dramatic, but more willing to take up space. It’s a record about stepping into new environments and letting that change you, even subtly It might not have the same quiet gravity as her debut, but it doesn’t need to. Yesterday The Strokes made an Instagram post teasing a new album called “Reality Awaits” with a snippet of audio that we would soon find to be a single named “Going Shopping” released the following day. Today (April 7th ), we have received the full announcement and the release of that single. Along with the announcement, we now know the track list, album art, and release date.

Masked musicians are nothing new to pop culture; between Daft Punk, Deadmau5, Marshmallow, and countless other DJs, we have accepted it as a sort of sub-genre of electronic/pop music, adding a fun element and usually a secretive/hidden identity puzzle for fans to explore. Angine de Poitrine adds to this zeitgeist and subtly redefines it by adding experimental alt-rock to the list of possible genres for a masked creative to succeed in.

In the form of another EP (the group's second), 'Spring Forward' is the concise, hard-hitting collection we needed to confirm their talent. While not an album, as many fans are surely hoping for, these four tracks provide enough to hold us over until that eventual day.

Pulling from IDM and punk rock, Model/Actriz certianly have a unique sound to themselves. Possibly the most surprising part of their sonic identity is the refrain they exert in every song. Many artists in this space go for a maximalist vibe, but this group seems to aim for a busy yet refined approach. The timbre of every instrument is simultaneously breaming with life and drowning in reverb and delay.
