REVIEW: Montgomery Gentry brings fresh new sound in "Headlights"

By: Matt Burrill

Back with a brand new sound, super duo Montgomery Gentry has re-entered the country scene with their latest single “Headlights.”

Montgomery Gentry Headlights

“Headlights,” penned by top writers Wendell Mobley, Bob DiPiero and Tony Martin and produced by critically-acclaimed country producer Michael Knox, made an immediate impact on country radio, scoring second most-added at over 40 country stations in August.

Their first new music since 2011, this latest single serves as a progression in sound and rhythm for the guys of Montgomery Gentry. “Headlights” may not be a carbon copy of Troy and Eddie’s signature sound heard on previous hits “Hell Yeah” or “My Town,” but that doesn’t make it any less authentic. With their new fresh sound, loyal fan base, and recognizable party mystique, the Kentucky super-duo appears ready to take the country music scene by storm once again!

“Headlights,” the first single off Montgomery Gentry’s new album, is available now. The album is set to follow in early 2015.
