Miranda Lambert Teams Up With Sony Music to Create Her Own Label
Miranda Lambert has been part of the Sony Music family since her debut release, kerosene, in 2005. Since then, she has successfully released 5 studio albums, all of which contained chart-toppers. In her 15 years of major album debuts, she has signed under several divisions of Sony – Epic Nashville, SMN’s Columbia Nashville, and RCA Nashville.
Recently, Sony teamed up with Miranda to take the next step in her career- launching a record label imprint under her name. The label is named “Vanner Records”. CEO and Chairman, Randy Goodman, stated, “Re-signing Miranda to Sony Music Nashville and helping her create Vanner Records has been absolutely one of the highlights of my 15 months at Sony Music Nashville…Miranda as an artist represents everything we want to be as a record company, and her energy and vision will help drive us forward as well.”
Miranda’s new record, The Weight of These Wings, will be released on November 18th along with “Vanner Records”. This record will contain two separate discs. One disk is titled The Nerve, and the other is titled The Heart. November 18th cannot come soon enough!
