London Cowboy, Chris Erasmus Releases New Song “We Had It Made”

The transcontinental cowboy, Chris Erasmus has done it again with new single “We Had It Made.” The beautiful ballad talks of a relationship and what it once was. Erasmus uses his unique vocals and one-of-a-kind songwriting abilities to pull at your heartstrings and take any listener on a walk down memory lane.

Chris is known by many to be the jack of all trades. Having lived many lives, “We Had It Made” is a response to the way he has walked through relationships in his varying experiences. From being born in Africa, cowboying in Montana, studying in Australia, and acting in London, Erasmus has been shaped by all sorts of places and people. “We Had It Made” is a beautiful reflection on a relationship that has run its course and is greatly impacted by Erasmus’ world view.

Varying from more up-tempo tracks we have heard from Erasmus previously, “We Had It Made” showcases a more stripped back side to the multifaceted artist. Driven by a beautiful piano melody along soft guitar and drum parts, the lyrics are truly given their place to shine. In the second verse, a beautiful female background vocal is added. Along with serving the song sonically, it drives the back and forth narrative of this emotional break up story.

Although “We Had It Made” is one of many in Erasmus’ discography, it is definitely a standout track.
