The Brand New Beabadoobee Single Featuring The Marias

‘All I Did Was Dream of You’ features some gorgeous production in both the instrumental and vocal departments. At times, such as in the intro, leaning into more of a lo-fi direction but mostly focused on recreating her soft rock side, this track is sure to be a classic. The Marias make an appearance here as well, chiming in on the second verse and choruses. Eventually, the song cascades into a cacophony of noisy guitars, perhaps reminiscent of Beabadoobee tracks such as ‘Beaches’, where the groove compiles into a rather rocking outro.

There’s a lot of influences here; pop mellow synths pop in and out, replaced by The Marias’ arpeggiating guitars. And after the noise, a rather ambient outro and some more industrial noises to close.
Singing about longing and bittersweet memories. The lyrics here explore a deep and insatiable infatuation that, true or not, is believed to be so right. That is, until there’s this big choice “stay or just leave me be” as described in the chorus. This is an amazing track, sure to gain some traction soon if not already, so be sure to give it a listen!
